Significance: This quote shows us how Winston was not true to Julia and how he basically lied. He said no matter what he would always love Julia and never give up. By saying this he is basically betraying Julia and giving himself to the Party. Winston has lost his mind and he has given up the one thing that he loved so much. He made a BIG mistake!
