Othello ~ 3.4

Quote: " A liberal hand! The hearts of old gave hands, but our new heraldry is hands, not hearts (Othello-3.4 lines 46-47).

Significance: This quote shows that there is actually another smart person in this book besides Iago, but in a different way. Othello seems to finally see that what Iago is telling him might in fact be true. Seeing Desdemona and Cassio and the way they act around each other does seem like there is something between the two of them. I would believe it if I were there too. There is still this feeling that Iago is just trying to gain something in the end for himself and just throw everybody else under the bus.

Question: Is there actually something going on between Desdemona and Cassio that they just don't tell us?

Define 2 words:
edified- v. to instruct or benefit (p 75 line 14)
castigation- n. a severe scolding or punishment
