Quote: " O devil, devil! If that the earth could teem with woman's tears, each drop she falls would prove a crocodile out of my sight!" (4.1 244-247)
Significance: This is where the tragedy starts. Othello has officially fallen for Iago and his dumb scheme to ruin everyones' lives. Othello has gotten so mad at Desdemona that he hits her. That is way over the top and Iago should just keep his mouth shut for the rest of the play. he has caused way to much turmoil and tragedy already. I honestly cannot believe Othello can believe what Iago is telling him about Cassio. This is ridiculous.
Question: Will Lodovico get caught up in Iago's scheme?
